Welcome! You are already taking the first step in your mental health journey by researching potential counselors. Are you struggling with stress, sexual or self identity, or any changes in your life that have affected your emotional state? I can offer a safe, non-judgmental space to talk through anything you are struggling with, process your emotions, and work towards creating healthy coping skills. I am here to listen and help empower you to solve any issues you may be facing.
I believe in a holistic approach towards improving mental health tailored towards individual clients and their personalized needs. My specialties include working with domestic violence survivors, the LGBTQ+ population, and anyone who may be struggling with stress or changes in their lives. You may be anxious to reach out and start your mental health journey. It can certainly be scary to prioritize your mental health, especially if you are used to putting others first. I want you to know that it is okay to reach out for help. I encourage you to make yourself and your mental health a priority.
Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, or grief? Are you wanting to make some changes in your life? Going through a tough breakup, or some conflict with your family? If you have ever felt stuck, in need of guidance, or just wanting to talk through what's troubling you, you're not alone. Working to feel better can be overwhelming but you don't have to on your own. Let's team up and take on these challenges together. I am client-focused and strength-based, so we will look at what support you need and build upon the tools you already have while adding to them.
Together, we can get unstuck. I am a second year graduate student in Winthrop University's MSW program, and I have experience working in an inpatient setting, with groups and individuals. I worked with clients of diverse backgrounds learning new coping skills, breathing techniques, introspective thought, and just acknowledging that what we feel is valid.
I enjoy seeing people make breakthroughs that they have worked so hard to make, celebrating each bit of progress no matter how small it may seem. This is because like everyone, I have had my own personal steps and breakthroughs and know the importance of recognizing how far we have come. I look forward to celebrating the little things and seeing you succeed.
